Dainty necklace made up with faceted ethically sourced apetite beads and handmade sterling silver beads threaded onto silk cord.
Now, when I say handmade beads... I mean handmade by me. I've melted down sterling silver offcuts into tiny balls, made indentations for the drill bit to sit, and drilled a 1 mm hole while gripping the tiny pieces of silver in a pair of pliers. All the while, praying to the jewellery gods that I don't lose a finger or break ANOTHER drill bit in the process.
The beads are just 2mm wide and are so sparkly in the light. I've made the necklace 14" long, which sits beautifully on the nape of the neck
