New Toy Time!

A few weeks ago I INVESTED in a pretty big new toy. It is big for me, as a very small business, buying a piece of equipment or a fancy new tool is a huge move for me. Not to mention the small mark-up I put on my jewellery, to ensure I'm able to keep my prices as affordable as possible.

Aaaaaaanyway... this new piece of equipment is a laser engraver. It's been costly but definitely worth getting!

My intention and aim for getting this tool was to personalise pieces of jewellery, making great Christmas presents. But when I received it and started practising, I decided to scan in an image of my late dads writing. This then led to the idea of memorial pieces. And what an incredible opportunity to be able to provide someone with something so special like this.

When I lasered my dads writing onto a pendant, I nearly cried, it was so special to see his distinctive writing on a piece of my own jewellery! For those of you have been unlucky enough to experience loosing a loved one, any little reminder of them brings so much warmth and happy memories of them, imagine seeing that every single day when you see your piece of jewellery.

I wear my dads pendant every day, I wore it on holiday to Spain and have only taken it off for a day or two. The rest of the time I sleep with it on and shower with it. I like to test durability of my products so that I can promote them and say wholeheartedly and confidently that it is a good and genuine item, if I wasn't happy with the quality of my pieces, I wouldn't sell them. I only sell pieces which I'm 100% happy with. And this is one!

I've been absolutely swamped with commissions lately which has meant that I've not been able to promote this new line, however, I'm almost under control and I'll soon be able to start advertising it properly.

I guess this blog post is to let you know that something special is on the horizon and I just can't wait to get going with it and be able to offer you and your loved ones something so special and unique.

Thank you for reading!

xx
